    $2.99
    Unit price  per

Garlic Chives, also known as Chinese chives, are a variety of chives known for their flat leaves and strong garlic-like flavor. This variety is particularly used in Asian cuisine and as a garnish. Garlic chives are certified as USDA Organic.

To grow Garlic Chives, you will need:

    • Well-drained, fertile soil
    • Full sun or partial shade
    • Seeds or clumps of established plants

    Growing Instructions:

    1. Prepare the soil by tilling or digging to a depth of at least 8 inches. Add compost or other organic matter to improve the soil's fertility.

    2. Sow the seeds or plant clumps of established plants in the spring or fall. Space the plants about 12 inches apart.

    3. Water the chives regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.

    4. Fertilize the chives with an organic fertilizer every 4-6 weeks.

    5. Remove the flowers as soon as they appear to encourage leaf growth and prevent seed production.

    6. Harvest the chives leaves as needed, starting from the bottom of the plant, leaving the upper leaves to mature and continue growing.
